Save the date for the inaugural eHealth Awards

The Health Informatics Society of Ireland (HISI) builds bridges between computer professionals interested in health care, and health care professionals interested in computing – while supporting and embracing the new professionals of healthcare informatics.
As Chair of HISI, I am delighted to announce the launch of our eHealth Awards. Over the last few years we have seen an increase in activity, investment and interest in the Health Informatics field as a way to address some of our health delivery problem. This is evidenced by the growing numbers attending our Annual Scientific Conference which last year, for the first time ever, we had to close registrations due to large numbers.
We are delighted to have Russell Branzell as chair of our judging panel, Russell is the CEO and president of the College of Healthcare Information Executives (CHIME) and its affiliate associations.
While the ASM is an excellent vehicle at which to inform colleagues of developments and advancements in this field, we were lacking a method to celebrate our successful projects, innovations and teams. I hope, and believe, that the eHealth Awards will address this and will be an opportunity for us to showcase and reward excellence in Health informatics across a range of categories.

HISI Chair
Prof. of Health Informatics (UCD)

& Group Chief Information Officer (Ireland East Hospital Group)
